Ja'Lynn Polk, 2024 second-round pick, abruptly retires at 24 years old

Polk was already a fringe/dynasty-only asset who struggled to earn snaps behind New England's other receivers as a rookie, so his retirement has almost no impact on redraft leagues this year. In dynasty formats, however, this is a definitive value-zeroing event — drop him immediately in any format he's still rostered. The bigger ripple is a marginal uptick in target share security for the Patriots' remaining wideouts (DeMario Douglas, Kayshon Boutte, Javon Baker, and any veteran additions like Stefon Diggs) since one fewer body is competing for reps in a crowded, still-unsettled WR room.
