James Pearce Jr. is a defensive edge rusher, so this suspension has zero direct impact on standard fantasy football scoring formats (which only track offensive stats). The only leagues where this matters are IDP (Individual Defensive Player) formats, where Pearce was emerging as the Falcons' top pass rusher and sack producer. In those leagues, he becomes essentially unrosterable for 8 games and should be dropped or stashed on IR/bench depending on league size. Falcons IDP replacements (other Atlanta edge rushers/pass rushers who will see increased snaps) become speculative IDP waiver pickups in deeper IDP leagues.
