Scoring Zone's Take

Tyler Biadasz's ACL injury during Chargers practice looks like a season-ending situation, and while he carries zero standalone fantasy value as a center, this is a draft-prep note worth logging for anyone building around the Chargers' offense. Losing your starting center for what's being described as an extended absence, potentially the full season, injects real uncertainty into the interior of that offensive line heading into camp.

For fantasy purposes, this matters most as a risk factor for Justin Herbert and the Chargers' skill players rather than for Biadasz himself. A shuffled offensive line, especially at center where communication and protection calls are critical, can affect pass protection efficiency and short-yardage/goal-line push, which trickles down to sack rates and rushing lanes. Herbert's supporting cast and any running back competing for early-down work in LA should be flagged with a slightly lower floor until you see how the Chargers address the void, whether through a depth chart promotion or outside addition.

Action for draft prep: no add or drop is relevant here since Biadasz isn't a rosterable fantasy asset. Instead, treat this as a soft red flag on Chargers offensive skill players in your rankings, worth a marginal discount rather than a big markdown, and something to revisit once training camp reports clarify the new starting center and how the line is performing. Confidence in the injury itself is high across multiple reports, but the season-long impact on Herbert and company remains speculative until camp battles play out, so monitor closely rather than overreact now.

Fantasy Implication reviewed impact -0.5

Tyler Biadasz himself has zero standalone fantasy value as a center, so this injury doesn't move any redraft or dynasty rosters on its own. The real fantasy relevance is indirect: another disruption to a Chargers offensive line that's already been banged up will hurt pass protection for Justin Herbert and interior run-blocking for the RB rotation (J.K. Dobbins/Gus Edwards/Kimani Vidal). If Biadasz is out for an extended period, expect more pressure on Herbert, potentially depressing his weekly ceiling, and less consistent rushing lanes, which could push the Chargers toward more short-yardage/checkdown looks that mildly boost pass-catching backs and TEs while capping big-play upside for WRs.

No direct roster action needed for Biadasz Monitor Chargers OL depth chart before locking in Herbert as a must-start QB1 in tough matchups Slightly downgrade confidence in Chargers RB rushing efficiency until line stabilizes Watch waiver wire for backup center/OL news only if you're in an IDP or deep dynasty league tracking roster construction
